Then on to the best part. The tasting. Each student was allowed to have two spoons full of something they wanted to try. There was not very many children that did not like what they tried. Baking and cooking was the highlight of the week.
This is where we display the different learning we do in our classroom. I want to inspire children to love learning and engage them in fun and meaningful tasks.

Apple Boats and More
One of the things that the children wanted to figure out is can you make an apple boat. We started by figuring out if apples float. Which they do. Then we put in the apple and tried to put one bear on top. It did not stay it rolled into the water. Then one of the students said that maybe it was because it was not flat. So we cut of the top.
Then we moved on to the tasting of things we can make with apples. The morning class was sure you could make applesauce and apple chips (we did not have time for the chips) and the afternoon worked on apple pie and gluten free apple crisp. We used an apple peeler, corer, slicer to make this work fly by.
